The Mt. Kun Expedition is a formidable high-altitude challenge located in the remote Zanskar region of Ladakh. At 7,077 metres, Mt. Kun is among the tallest peaks in India and demands expedition-level preparation and discipline.
The route involves long glacier approaches, high camps set in exposed terrain, and extended periods above 5,500–6,000 metres. While the climb is not extremely technical, altitude, weather, and endurance define the difficulty. Winds can be fierce, temperatures extreme, and summit days brutally long.
The real challenge of Mt. Kun lies in sustained altitude exposure and cumulative fatigue. Each acclimatization rotation tests recovery, and summit success depends on patience, strong physical conditioning, and careful pacing.
This expedition is best suited for climbers preparing for 7000–8000 m objectives or those seeking a serious high-altitude expedition experience in a raw Himalayan environment.
Note: Prices apply to Indian passport holders; foreign nationals may have different costs. Please confirm with the B&C team.
Note: An indemnity document will be shared before the expedition.
