overview

The Everest Base Camp + Gokyo Lake Trek elevates the classic EBC experience by adding remote valleys, turquoise glacial lakes, and higher viewpoints, making it one of the most visually diverse routes in the Khumbu region.

After following the traditional Everest trail, the route diverges into quieter terrain leading toward the stunning Gokyo Lakes, set against massive Himalayan walls. The climb of Gokyo Ri (5,357 m) offers arguably the best panoramic view in the region — Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu all visible in one sweep.

The trek often includes crossing Cho La Pass (~5,420 m), a serious high-altitude crossing involving snow, ice, and steep gradients. This pass crossing delivers one of the biggest adrenaline moments of the journey and requires strong fitness and composure.

This trek demands more endurance than standard EBC due to longer duration, repeated altitude exposure, and challenging terrain. It is ideal for trekkers who want a more immersive, demanding, and scenic Everest experience beyond the crowded main trail.

Note: Prices mentioned are applicable for Indian passport holders. For foreign passport holders, the cost may vary. Please connect with the Boots & Crampons team for clarity.
Note: An indemnity document will be shared before the trek. Signing it is mandatory.
