The Indrahar Pass Trek is a demanding crossover route in the Dhauladhar range, offering steep climbs, rugged terrain, and dramatic valley views. The final ascent to the pass is steep and physically taxing, especially at altitude.
At 4,342 metres, Indrahar Pass rewards effort with vast panoramas across Kangra and beyond. This trek requires good fitness and confidence on rocky, exposed trails.

DAY 01
Mcleodganj – Triund (2975m) Trek/9 Km
The trek goes through a mixed forest of oak, rhododendron, and deodar trees. The first two kilometers are a steep ascent, but there is a gradual ascent after Galu Devi Temple. The last 1 kilometer is again a steep ascent through the forest. Night stay in tents or private houses.
DAY 02
Triund – Lahesh Cave (3500m) Trek/6Km
This is an acclimatization day. After a short ascent from Triund, traverse a ridge to reach Laka Got, a temporary shepherd camp. From Laka Got, it is a steep ascent for 2 km over a rocky ridge to reach Lahesh Cave. Night stay in the cave or camp at Laka Got.
DAY 03
Lahesh Cave – Indrahaar Pass (4350m) Trek/4 Km
Start early in the morning. During summer (April to May), the trail is full of snow and requires good equipment. Post-monsoon (Sept to Nov), there is no snow or ice. It takes about three hours to reach the pass and another three hours to come down. Return to Laka Got or Khabrotu for the night stay.
DAY 04
Laka Got – Mcleod Ganj Trek/12 Km
Follow the same route on the way back, or take a different route from Triund, crossing a grassy meadow and descending down to Bhagsu Nag and then to Mcleodganj.
