overview

The Mt. Nun Expedition is one of the most serious high-altitude mountaineering objectives in the Indian Himalayas. Standing tall at 7,135 metres, Mt. Nun demands not just physical fitness, but deep mental resilience, technical competence, and respect for extreme altitude.

The expedition unfolds over weeks of gradual acclimatization, glacier travel, and high camp rotations. Climbers navigate vast snowfields, crevassed glaciers, steep ice sections, and exposed ridgelines. Above 6,000 metres, every movement becomes deliberate as oxygen levels drop sharply and recovery slows. Weather windows are narrow, and summit days are long, cold, and physically draining.

Mt. Nun is a true expedition peak—success depends on preparation, pacing, decision-making, and teamwork. Summit day often stretches into double-digit hours, testing endurance and mental strength at extreme altitude.

This climb is meant for experienced high-altitude mountaineers who have prior 6000 m or expedition experience and are ready to step into elite Himalayan territory.

Note: Prices mentioned are applicable for Indian passport holders. For foreign passport holders, the cost may vary. Please check with the Boots & Crampons team.
Note: An indemnity document will be shared before the expedition and must be signed.
