overview

The Lobuche + Island Peak Expedition is an intense high-altitude mountaineering combination designed for climbers seeking two 6000 m summits in one campaign.

Lobuche Peak (6,119 m) offers a technical climb with exposed ridges and fixed rope sections, while Island Peak (6,165 m) adds glacier travel, steep snow slopes, and a dramatic summit ridge. Together, they demand endurance, skill, and efficient recovery between summit pushes.

Extended time above 5,000 metres, long summit days, and cold alpine conditions define this expedition. The challenge is cumulative — managing fatigue, acclimatization, and focus across both climbs.

This expedition is ideal for experienced trekkers transitioning into serious mountaineering, or climbers building experience for bigger Himalayan objectives.

Note: Prices apply to Indian passport holders; foreign nationals may have different costs.
Note: An indemnity document will be shared before the expedition.

Another important acclimatization day. Hike up Nangkartshang Hill for awe-inspiring views of Makalu, Ama Dablam, and Island Peak. A tough but rewarding climb that prepares your lungs for higher elevations.

Duration: 10–12 hours

Day 11: Trek to Chhukung (4,730m) – Between Two Peaks

Trek Duration: 5–6 hours

Day 12: Trek to Island Peak Base Camp (5,087m) – One Last Challenge Awaits

An easy but steady trek to the base of Island Peak. As you approach, the impressive south face of Lhotse dominates the skyline. At base camp, review your gear, practice some basic techniques if needed, and prepare for the big day.
